Leif Hovda

Co-Founder

Leif is a Colorado native with a deep background in AI and automation. After earning his degree in computer science from the University of Colorado-Denver, he began his career at one of the largest credit unions in Colorado, where he now serves as Process Automation Manager. Over the years, Leif has led automation teams that delivered significant cost savings and operational improvements for businesses of all sizes.

Outside of work, Leif enjoys time with his wife, El, and coaches high school lacrosse — bringing the same leadership and dedication he applies in his professional life.

Juan Rodriguez

Co-Founder

Juan is an Advanced Automation Developer with a strong foundation in data and business strategy. After earning his degree in Business Administration with a minor in Data Science from the University of Colorado, he began his career at one of the largest credit unions in Colorado as an Automation and Generative AI Developer. Juan's deep data expertise and practical experience set him apart, enabling him to build high-impact solutions that push automation capabilities further than most developers.

Outside of work, Juan loves traveling and spending quality time with his family — bringing the same curiosity and passion for exploration to his personal life as he does to his professional work.

Manuel Zapien

Security Advisor

Manuel advises Roak on information security, data protection, and compliance. With years of experience in security consulting and a deep understanding of the regulatory landscape around PII and sensitive customer data, Manuel helps ensure that every Roak engagement is built on a foundation of trust.

His guidance shapes our data-handling practices, incident response readiness, and long-term security posture — giving clients confidence that their data is protected at every step.
